Watergate Bay Holiday Park was an incredible experience for me. The stunning coastal views instantly put me at ease. The park catered to all my needs.
I particularly enjoyed the range of activities offered in the vincinity of the holiday park. Whether it was surfing lessons on the beach or relaxing on Watergate Bay Beach, there was never a dull moment.
The on-site cafe served delicious food, The kids had many Pizzas and we had Pulled beef nachos and a Thai red curry. It was very nice. The staff made me feel right at home.
Exploring the nearby attractions was a highlight of my stay. From the charming villages to the beautiful hiking trails, there was always something new to discover. The biggest highlight is the amount of beautiful beaches nearby. Overall, Watergate Bay Holiday Park provided a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it a memorable getaway that I would highly recommend.
I stayed here for 1 night whilst walking the South West Coast Path, just me and a 2 man tent. The girl on the phone when i phoned to book ahead was a VERY good example of how front of house/reception should be (by comparison the person on the phone at their sister site The View was the exact opposite). The facilities were great, my pitch was very flat and way more space than i needed and the shower was free (saved me having to ask about for 20p coins). The bar had the England game on and the food was great. If i had to find any negative it would be the helicopters over head into the night but then it is next to an airfield so there's nothing they can do about that. I'd highly recommend this place.
Lovely campsite, great showers, toilets, even the food is fantastic.
Don't normally eat at the campsite restaurant but due to the weather we did and we were very surprised at how lovely it was.
Did not get a chance to go on the pool as it is normally busy. Wish it had children free time towards the evening.
I camped here for three nights, as a solo female camper I felt very safe the whole time. Toilets and showers were clean, good washing up facilities. Pitch was a great size and good ground. Only room for improvement is there isn't much shelter as the central pitches have no hedges or walls etc this meant the windy weather was pretty challenging. Would stay again, great location to beaches and nearby towns.
Great for camping! Staff really friendly and helpful. There is a small arcade/games room, swimming pool and tennis court on site. Laundrette and washing up room plus many showers and toilets on site - which always appeared to remain clean! 15 minute drive into Newquay but Watergate Bay & Porth beach just down the road. Fab site for the price.
Friendly and attentive team. Lovely fellow campers and what a great location! The pool was always clean and never packed busy.
Looking forward to returning next year.
First time in Cornwall, was so happy with the friendly service when arriving.
We arrived an hour earlier but was let on site to set up.
Unfortunately hours after setting up we had issues with our tent.
The reception office was shut as our iusse was out of hours.
But the manager/owner came within half hour and rectified the problem with an upgrade although this was an extra cost it wasn't an issue and such friendly service from start to finish.
The camp site is great, with swimming pool/park walk is close to the beach.
Pizza is amazing, and the shop of what they sell is a good selection.
Would recommend and stay again.
We did one night here in our campervan. But I wished we had booked longer. The site is nice, it's near a great beach, they have a pool, restaurant, cafe, shop, tennis court, skate park, it seemed safe and friendly, great for families.
The site is reasonably priced, their were bits that could have been better, such as cleaner, fresher changing facilities for the pool and bathrooms, and better food at the restaurant etc, but you get what you pay for and we were happy. Their is a local bus down to watergate Bay and back which was really useful and a friendly service, or it is a 15min walk.
When booking this it came up that their would be WiFi, however when we arrived you had to purchase this for £10 per week. And it only allows you Internet on one device. Plus it hardly works when you're not in the bar area. So with us only there for a night this wasn't great.
But all I all it's a great place, very friendly helpful staff and we had a good stay :)
